There are four ways how a user can be subscribed to the page:

  1. Ask the user to send "SUBSCRIBE" or "START" to the active SMS number

The bot will respond with Facebook Page Welcomer dialogue and new SMS contact will appear in MobileMonkey Inbox and Contacts menu.

  1. Ask the user to send a keyword to the active SMS number

Keywords are created under SMS menu -> Keywords.

The bot will respond with the dialogue that associated with the keyword.

And new SMS contact will appear in MobileMonkey Inbox and Contacts menu.

  1. Use Opt-in widget in your Facebook or Web channel dialogs

Opt-in widget is a text widget with two options:

  • Connect on SMS

If selected, the user is followed with Quick Questions asking to provide a phone number and permission to opt-in.

Once both Quick Questions are answered, the user will receive SMS with a confirmation.

By default "Thanks for subscribing! Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe".

  • No thanks

User is not subscribed to SMS opt-in and no text messages are sent.

  1. Import SMS Contact list

If you have a list of your current customers it is possible to upload it in Leads -> Contacts menu.

Make sure your customers opted-in to receive messages from your business.
